WITNESS: O.J. ASKED THUGS TO BE ARMED DURING ROBBERY

November 13, 2007 -- LAS VEGAS -- One of O.J. Simpson's alleged hotel shake-down partners testified today that the Juice declared "F--k the police!" and demanded that his goons arm themselves with guns as they took the law into their own hands to get back some stolen sports memorabilia.
"He asked if we could bring some heat in case something goes wrong," said Walter Alexander, 45, one of the thugs Simpson allegedly had at his side.
"He said 'It shouldn't be any problem but in case there are any problems, can you bring some guns?' "
Alexander testified today at the continuation of preliminary hearing to decide if Simpson should stand trial on charges stemming from his Sept. 13 raid on a casino hotel room.
The former football great allegedly believed that at sports memorabilia dealer was holding items that were stolen from him in the room -- and he intended to get them back.
Alexander said that O.J. told him and cohort Michael McClinton that they didn't need to brandish guns, just have them and let them be seen.
"We wore suits, he wanted the guns to be seen ... that we meant business."
He scoffed at his partner's concerns about the police becoming involved.
"He was like 'F--k the police. It was my own s--t. What are they going to do, take me to jail for taking my own [censored]?' It sounded convincing to me."
Alexander was originally charged along with Simpson with kidnapping and armed robbery. He and McClinton -- who was also charged in the incident -- have taken plea agreements in return for their testimony.
McClinton is also expected to testify later today.
